Hyundai Verna
The Indian market takes a rest this month with only one model posting all-time volume records. The Maruti Alto is stable at 25,393 sales and 155,053 year-to-date, the Maruti Swift climbs up to #2 for the first since April 2010 with 12,742 units, just above the Maruti Wagon R at 12,736 sales. The Hyundai i10 is down to #4 and the Maruti Swift DZire ranks 5th.
Good month for the Maruti Omni at #6, the Mahindra Bolero at #7 and the Hyundai i20 at #8. The Tata Nano halts 6 consecutive months of growth by dropping to 6,515 sales in 10th position. The new ‘Fluidic’ Hyundai Verna shines for its first full month of sales, halving its ranking from #30 to #15 at 4,357 sales, possibly the best ever volume for the nameplate in India.
